The long cherished dream to have an IEEE Student Chapter at our institute is now fullfilled as IEEE Student Chapter, Birla Institute of technology, Patna has been approved by the IEEE, HQ, USA.
IEEE Student Chapter has now become functional in our institute due to the contributions of faculty members and students members who have taken keen interest in establishing Student Chapter of IEEE.
This student chapter would prove an asset to institute student’s community. It will provide the budding engineers a platform to blossom into confident and capable man ready to take up the challenges. It will keep up with the vision and mission of IEEE- fostering technological innovation for the benefit of humanity.
The establishment work was started by Panigarahi sir as he has left the Institute the establishment work was halted. Everytime whenever we sit together we discuss about what is the benefit of joining IEEE. One of my friend Arindam Chaudhary inspired me to work for the establishment of student chapter. I have taken it as great responsibility and contacted IEEE Head Quarter, Calcutta section, Panigrahi Sir who is now at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, student members and Faculty members of IEEE and completed all the documents and applied the petition for approval to IEEE HQ. In these times Dr. S P Lal sir boost up me morally to take this responsibility.
I would like to thanks calcutta section officials , K K Malik, Chandan Kumar Sarkar, Bhaskar Gupta for the support, encouragement and guidance they have provided in establishing IEEE Student Chapter. The Faculty members and student members of IEEE and institute administration without whom this work can not be completed.
I urge students of 06 ,07.08 batches to take the mebership and make difference in you personal and profeesional life.
